Your tour begins at the Pikes Peak Adventure Center in Old Colorado City, where your guide fits you with a Trek e-bike and safety gear. The e-bikes are intuitive — a brief orientation and you'll be comfortable within minutes. From the Adventure Center, the group rides into the Cheyenne Canyon area where Gold Camp Road begins its climb through the canyon. The electric assist activates as you pedal, making the elevation gain feel like flat ground. You'll ride through historic rock tunnels hand-blasted from solid granite in the 1890s, stop at canyon ridge viewpoints with panoramic views across Colorado Springs, and hear the story of the Colorado Springs and Cripple Creek District Railway — the "Short Line" — that carried gold rush fortunes down from Cripple Creek for decades.
